Included in all Synergistic AS/400-iSeries Disaster Recovery plans is a free annual tape test. The tape test, many times, reveals errors that would have prevented total restoration in an actual disaster. The annual tape test provides peace of mind to both our clients and to us as their partner in their AS/400 Disaster Recovery plan. Some accounts have found this beneficial to coordinate the full system tape test when they have a planned outage for Hardware/Software Maintenance. Others have coordinated timing to add protection for a new data center move.
